The Writer Games is a flash fiction contest which occurs during the month of January each year. Filled with elimination rounds, prizes, and awesome opportunities for writers, it's a great place to grow your writing skills!

Since emerging into the world, TWG has become something far more than a mere contest, it is a community. From epic writer reels, nerdy Discord chats, and monthly writing challenges, we've got a little bit of everything!
TWG's Origin Story:
In July 3, 2019 two writers (Julia Skinner and Kassie Angle) began talking about hosting a giveaway together. Of course, whenever writers are involved things always get way more complicated and brainstormy than planned. About 25 emails later and they had schemed up a contest like none other -- a contest that would drive writers into the literary arena of flash fiction, a contest that would bestow the glory of the Olympics upon the word-lovers in our world, a contest that would inspire writers and readers alike! And they dubbed it, "The Writer Games".

Since January of 2020, the Writer Games has grown into a year-around community focused on approaching storytelling in new, exciting ways. We host multiple contests, offer resources to struggling word-smiths, and provide awesome encouragement and challenges in our community.
